An ongoing programme of planting to increase carbon sequestration by the Estate's woodlands. Planting will also contribute to improving water quality, biodiversity and landscape restoration as secondary objectives. This woodland creation will also increase the age diversity in the Estate woodlands, improving their capacity to sustainably provide woodfuel and timber and supporting the local economy.
