The Freshwater Trust partnered with the Calapooia Watershed Council to remove invasive plants and install native riparian vegetation on a large bend on the Calapooia River, a tributary of the Willamette River in Linn County, Oregon. The project site is located within a reach of the lower Calapooia River that provides some of the best non-summer habitat for fish within the Calapooia River. The site was planted to standards required for generating compliance-grade thermal credits. Credits were calculated using Heat Source version 8. Landowners have granted project restoration partners with access to the site for the 20 year life of the project for the purposes of monitoring and maintenance.
