Account Holder
Woodland Trust
Description
Kinclaven will develop as a valuable habitat with abundant bluebells. There will be an improvement in structural and species diversity, new woodland will develop into an attractive wood of mixed native species and open ground, for the benefit of people and wildlife. Once the woodland is established, deer fences will be removed. The Trust will promote Kinclaven as a popular place to visit for quiet informal recreation and the visitor facilities will be improved to facilitate a welcoming experience. Paths will be kept as natural earth and grassy paths, unless they become excessively muddy. The woodland is designed and planned as a native woodland, with no clear felling proposed and only light thinnings taking place favouring oak.
