Ashens Forest is a mixed productive conifer / native broadleaved woodland covering 69.2 ha of previously rough grazing ground north of Tarbert, Argyll. The main objectives are to create an area of productive conifers to generate income and support a diverse and resilient local timber resource, in addition to establishing native broadleaves for landscape amenity and biodiversity value.
