Description

The project will aim to create 60.59 ha of mixed woodland on pasture land near Bellabeg, Angus. The main objective will be timber production so there is a large proportion of Sitka spruce, with a sizeable proportion Norway spruce and Scots pine to provide diversity. This will be managed via the clearfell system. Some large areas of native broadleaves have also been planted to benefit biodiversity, wildlife, the local watercourses and public walking routes. These are intended to be managed by minimum intervention to become permanent habitat features.
