Bear Creek RM 24.1 (ID: 104000000028600)

Account Holder
The Freshwater Trust
Description
The Freshwater Trust removed invasive plants and installed native riparian vegetation on Bear Creek, a tributary to the Rogue River in Jackson County, Oregon. This project site provides critical habitat for salmonids and other fish and wildlife species. Much of the riparian vegetation in this section of the basin has been altered, dramatically reduced in size or eliminated. This site was largely devoid of trees and shrubs. Once restored, this section of the waterway will provide long-term shade to the system, enhance native fish and wildlife habitat and improve riparian function. The two landowners have granted The Freshwater Trust access to the site for the 20 year life of the project for the purposes of monitoring and maintenance. Credits were calculated using Heat Source version 8.0.8.
